Dickie played it quite well in the original. Not seen but prefer Tim Roth, great actor.

I saw the doc of this and was disgusted to a sufficient amount by the nasty bastard that it stopped me watching the TV drama.

Re: Rillington Place
Havent seen this one but the old version with Dickie A and John Hurt is superb.

They have knocked the street down and rebuilt it as Bartle Road with a gap where number 10 was.

Re: Rillington Place
Started watching the first episode but packed it in, not a patch on Dickie A's version IMO.

Re: Rillington Place
Dickie played him the best

It was mainly the unjustified hanging of poor Timothy that resulted in the abolition of the death penalty in the UK

Re: Rillington Place
How comes they only found Christie guilty for the murder of his missus and not the other 6 or 7 women he admitted to?? seemed so many fuck ups by the authorities ...

Think I'm right in saying you could only be tried for one crime/murder then so the prosecution picked the one they had the most watertight evidence of.

Westside 2:49 Thu Dec 15
Re: Rillington Place
So the prosecution had 6 chances in reserve. 1st murder case gets a not guilty verdict, move onto the next one.

I imagine it's easier to prosecute one murder charge, in terms of resources, than 6 simultaneously.

Did you have to lie under the floor and have the floorboards nailed down over the top of you?

An electricians worst nightmare that is.
